The bighorn rut in South Dakota this year was Fantastic! Its hard to put into words the sights and sounds of these magnificent animals pawing the ground, straight leg kicking and the echoing bang of butting heads. I just can't seem to get enough! If you have never visited Custer State Park, especially during the fall, you've missed one of nature's greatest displays. There is an abundance of wildlife in the park which includes pronghorn, bighorn sheep, bison, black-tailed prairie dogs, and close by at Mount Rushmore you can find mountain goats.
