Day 1 at Bosque Del Apache

Watching the sun slowly rise and listening to the sounds of the birds as they prepare to explode off the water made for a near perfect morning here at Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge.   The bird numbers seem to be down from what I remember from previous visits but this still proves to be a great place to watch these graceful creatures up close.

There is a winter storm forecasted to pass through overnight with chances of snow so we’ll see what mother nature brings our way.
