Luau

.

The DLWS staff didn’t get much scouting in yesterday as Moose and Sharon generously treated us to a play day on the island of Kauai.

As we learned some of the islands history, we took a float trip through a series of of ditches, tunnels and flumes on land that was once a sugar plantation.  The amazing part was that these ditches and tunnels were all hand dug by Chinese laborers back in the 1800’s to irrigate the sugar cane fields.

No trip to Hawaii would be complete without going to a Luau.
