Changing the Mood





One thing you can count on in nature photography is that the weather will be continually changing. To communicate this and to convey the mood of the environment in which the photograph was captured is my main objective as a photographer.

In the above images, the one with the streaking snow flakes invokes a different emotion than the first image.

This was done by simply increasing the time the shutter was open.  I primarily use aperture priority so by reducing the aperture, or closing it down, the shutter is open longer yielding a differnt mood to the image.
