Keeping it Simple

Recently I was asked to do some more headshots for some friends of their daughter Morgan.  I’m always up for doing something new, especially when I heard that they wanted these taken outdoors.  My goal was to keep the shoot very simple.

The above image was taken with just available light and a single Lastolite diffuser panel.  I used one of my favorite pieces of glass, my Nikkor 200f2, to showcase her eyes and blow the trees in the background completely out of focus.

Image captured with a Nikon D3s, Nikkor 200f2 @ f2, iso 200 / exposure 1/400 sec.
