My time in Florida seemed just fly by. It was a real treat to spend the morning on the beach photographing the seeming endless supply of shorebirds.
It takes some work to get a clean shot of these little critters as they quickly go back and forth along the beach feeding. The key is to get down to their level and photograph them straight on allowing the backgrounds to go very soft. This make the birds pop in the photograph and no compete with anything else in the frame.
This Long-billed Dowitchers was an cooperative subject.
