It was a nice morning to be on the beach watching the tide come in. There were plenty of birds feeding on the shoreline giving me and the K&M participants multiple subjects to photograph.
We must have looked a little out of place on the beach crawling around on our stomachs keeping the lens very low to the ground to create the background like the one you see the the above of the Black-bellied Plover.
I modified a frisbee by anchoring a BH-40 bullhead to it to keep my camera/lens out of the sand along and give me a somewhat stable platform to shoot from at a very low height.
It is an extremely fun way to photograph shorebirds!
