It didn’t matter if it was day or night there was no lack of subjects to photograph in Monument Valley, you just had to let you imagination lead you.
I did some long exposures like the image above to see if I could stack a series of images to make star trails but in looking throughout the images I found some that I liked just as the were. This is something that is very easy to do as I just had to put the camera and tripod outside on the balcony of my hotel room and let it shoot through the night. This image is a 4 minute exposure so the stars do not show up as a single point light source but I liked how the clouds came out.
