Mesa Arch is an amazing location to the sun rise. Soon after the sun rises above the horizon, the under side of the arch begins to glow as the sun light hits the rock face and bounces the light every which way.
The arch size is exaggerated in this image because I used an ultra wide angle lens to encompass the entire arch making a very striking image.
On the more technical side, since I was shooting towards the sun and the foreground was in shadow I used a multiple image HDR to deal with the large exposure range of the morning light.
