Some Air To Air Photography

I had the chance to get up in the air this afternoon with my camera so as I’m sitting here at the notebook downloading my flash cards I thought I’d post a couple of images.

My shooting platform for this was a Cessna 172, I was in the right front seat and had the window open so I wasn’t shooting through the glass.  About the only thing I change from how I normally shoot is that I put the camera in Shutter priority mode and keep the shutter somewhere around 1/125 to get some blur on the propeller.  An airplane looks odd it it’s flying through the air and the propeller is frozen by the exposure. As you slow the shutter speed down you have to track with the plane to keep it in focus and sharp.
