Planes. Anyone who knows me knows that I love airplanes.
I had the opportunity to do some air-2-air photography of a couple of Cessna 170′s and had a blast. What could be more fun than being in the air photographing airplanes flying in formation.
This type of photography presents some unique problems you have to think through. You’re not shooting static objects, you as well as your subjects are moving. To get the props to blur you need to shoot at slow shutter speeds and one of the toughest obstacles, depending on the shooting platform, is that you don’t have much room to move around in. It was a great experience and I can’t wait to do it again.
