Expanding your Photography with a Flash

I had the opportunity of stepping out of my normal photography comfort zone of photographing landscapes and critters to do some environmental portraits.

This location was in the old New Mexico penitentiary which was closed down in the ’80s. ┬áThe moody light that dances around the walls and floors of the abandoned building is indescribable. ┬áThis image was made with a single SB-900 Nikon flash diffused through an Lastolite EZYbox.

Images captured with a Nikon D3, 14-24f2.8G, SB-900 & SU-800
