This morning I walked the loop in the Muir Woods in California. The rain moved moved through the area over night leaving the trees wet and full of color as the morning sun started to peak through the forest canopy.

When the iPhone alarm sounded at 4:15am I could hear it raining but I pulled myself out of bed and as planned and this was my reward. It was a beautiful sunrise over the city this morning.

It’ s a new year and here I am in San Francisco California at the first DLWS event of the year. I have never really spent any time in the city and this has been an enjoyable week seeing the sights and eating the great food that the city has to offer.
