I’m having no problem killing pixels this week. My hard drives are quickly filling and the nights are just a blur as I edit the days images and clean my camera gear for tomorrow.
Now that I’ve been here a few days I’m things are starting to work better, mainly me. It takes a little time to get into the groove to get the shots that I missed last time I was here ….. and the ones...

A large weather front moved through the area early this morning and the birds where staying low out of the high winds. Their activity started to pick up late afternoon just before sunset as the winds diminished.
There wasn’t a cloud in the sky so I worked the cranes flying onto the field where they will stay for the night. I’m still working on getting that ‘killer’ panning shot just...

Watching the sun slowly rise and listening to the sounds of the birds as they prepare to explode off the water made for a near perfect morning here at Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. The bird numbers seem to be down from what I remember from previous visits but this still proves to be a great place to watch these graceful creatures up close.
There is a winter storm forecasted to pass through...
