There were some nice clouds in the sky as I made my trek around the neighborhood this afternoon. The forecast had been predicting rain for the last three days but the weather has been almost perfect considering it’s still tornado season.

Outer Banks DLWS is in full, today was our second day in the field. We started the morning off with a visit to a working fishing harbor where we found some fantastic photography as the light danced in and out of the clouds.

I got a real treat today. During a break in our location scouting, the DLWS staff visited the Wright Brothers National Memorial.
It’s humbling to walk the grounds, where a little over a hundred years ago, Orville made that historic flight which changed our lives forever.

It’s great to be back together with the DLWS family here in North Carolina. We had a chance to get out today and do some location scouting for the upcoming workshop that begins Sunday. There are miles of shoreline to explore and lighthouses visit. Being my first time here I just enjoyed the day taking in all the new sights and the great company.
