Working the Ground

. I took a little side trip away from the city to see the rural side of India.  I didn’t have to go far before the land along the highway opened up and showed the hard work of local famers. Although I did see a few tractors, I saw far more plows and carts being pulled by livestock.  A common scene here but a sight that many westerners have probably never witnessed. The Gift

. Today as I was out walking with my camera in a congested area in Bangalore I walked past this woman sitting on the side walk. She looked up at me as I was walking by,  made eye contact then pointed to her eyes while looking at the camera that was slung over my shoulder. I’ll be here another week and am looking forward to seeing much more of this city. Image captured with a Nikon D3x,...

City Market

I went out this morning early with my camera and a friend to watch the city of Bangalore come alive.  We made our way to an open city market that reminded me of a farmers market back in the states.  It was hub of bustling activity as people shopped for foods and flowers.  The people were friendly, talkative and very curios as to where I was from and almost everyone I visited welcomed me to India. It was a...
